What you’ll do:

\n

The Mid-Level Application Developer will support the development of emerging solutions designed to empower government clients. This is primarily remote with going into the office or meeting with customers a few times per quarter. Must live in the DC metro area. Must be a US Citizen to support US Government programs and be eligible for a Secret clearance.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

 Implement scoped Python backend fixes and REST API integrations using Flask or FastAPI.

\n

 Improve the Vue.js interface, including answer presentation, citations, tables and error states

\n

 Use SQL and graph queries to validate records, relationships and financial fields; trace issues

\n

across retrieval, backend responses and UI rendering

\n

 Build regression tests and document expected versus actual results, evidence, defects and

\n

remaining limitations

\n

 Maintain focused code changes, technical documentation and clear progress updates.

\n

 Support controlled validation and releases

\n

 Adhere to and report on technical milestones and the overall project schedule

\n

 Participate in and support internal and external engagements including client meetings,

\n

conferences, and industry days

\n

 Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their

\n

implementation

\n

 Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials,

\n

and/or electronic communications as required

\n

 Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at client sites, and

\n

obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required.

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

 2-4 years of experience developing applications using Python, SQL, REST APIs, and related

\n

technologies

\n

 Experience in practical data validation and debugging

\n

 Experience using JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework; Vue.js preferred.

\n

 Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and the ability to explain and verify code

\n

changes

\n

 Experience using LLM coding assistants such as Claude Code, ChatGPT or Codex to investigate

\n

code, plan changes, implement fixes and create tests

\n

 Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

\n

 Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance

\n

 Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an institution accredited in the United States

\n

 Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask

\n

 Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

\n

\n
