In‑Person Interpreter (Independent Contractor) Position Summary As a 1099 Contract Interpreter, you will play a vital role in supporting diverse communities by delivering on‑site interpretation services in a variety of settings. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate, on‑site interpretation between English and your target language. Travel to client locations within a 30‑mile radius. Maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and appropriate tone during all assignments. Deliver clear and complete interpretation without omissions or additions. Respond promptly to scheduled assignments and communicate effectively with clients. Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards. Provide excellent customer service in all interactions. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must reside within a 30‑mile radius of Rochester, NY. Willingness and ability to travel locally to assignments. Strong commitment to punctuality, preparation, and professionalism.
